Chemdynm Cluster

        The Dell Linux cluster, Chemdynm, is configured with 32 Dell Power Edge 1950 computer nodes (rack mount), total 606GB memory and 21.5TB disk space, The theoretical peak performance is 2.7 TFLOPS. Nodes are interconnected with Cisco InfiniBand technology.

ON-CAMPUS COMPUTER ACCESS

HPCC hrothgar cluster

        Hrothgar is a cluster of 128 dual xeon (3.2 GHz) nodes with 4 GB of Ram each with an HPC-Linpack rating of 1.2 Tera Flops. The master node has 4 TB of shared RAID 5 storage, and each node has 60 GB of local storage. The cluster uses Infiniband and Gigabit Ethernet for interconnections. The cluster was installed August, 2005. 

HPCC antaeus cluster

        Antaeus is a cluster of 16 dual Athlon MP2000+ (1.7 GHz) nodes with 1 GB of RAM each with an HPC-Linpack rating of 42 Gflops. The master node has 140 GB of shared RAID level 5 storage, and each node has 32 GB of local storage. The cluster uses Gigabit Ethernet for communication. The cluster was installed in June, 2003.

HPCC weland cluster

        Weland is a cluster of 32 dual Athlon MP 2000+ (1.7 GHz) nodes with 2 GB of Ram each with an HPC-Linpack rating of 101 Gflops. The master node has 780 GB of shared RAID 5 storage, and each node has 32 GB of local storage. The cluster uses Gigabit Ethernet for interconnections. The cluster was installed in November, 2002.

HPCC pleione cluster

        Pleione is an SGI Onyx2 with 56-300 MHz processors, 56 GB of shared RAM, and an HPC- Linpack rating of 24 Gflops. It has 530 GB of fiber channel RAID storage, 620 GB of SCSI storage, and a 2-pipe Infinite Reality 2 graphics system. It was installed in November 1999.

Tech Grid

        Tech Grid is currently the largest collaborative Grid zone with 200+ high powered (2.66 GHz per node) super computer with 200 Gigs of combined RAM that contributes compute power to a collaborative multi- disciplinary, multi-organizational, campus-wide Compute Grid.  There are other contributing Grid Zones that hail from different parts of campus such as the computing labs in the Math Department, the computing labs in the ATLC, the computing labs in the Library, the campus dormitory computing labs, and 8 miles from campus at TTU HPCC facilities located in the Reese Technology Center. TechGrid now comprises of well over 500+ campus-wide compute nodes.

OFF CAMPUS COMPUTER ACCESS

The 11.8 teraflop Hewlett-Packard supercomputer in the Molecular Science Computing Facility has more than 2,000 processors and 6.8 terabytes RAM.
